The operational EWS Class 37s still feature in in daily workings. Here No.37417 powers train 6G42 the Birch Coppice to Bescot trip freight on 1 November 2007. The train was running about 25 min early and is seen passing Lea Marston with some pleasing autumn colours creeping out.

Blackpools Tram No. 626 is seen at night at Bispham being passed by illuminated tram No. 736 on 29 October 2007. The annual Blackpool Illuminations finish4 November and the Blackpool tramway is also closing until Easter 2008 to allow major track replacement with a bus service in operation.

After performing well at a recent Dartmoor Railway diesel event, Class 37s No. 37198 and 37905 have been sold to scrap dealer EMR of Kingsbury in favour of buying No. 37403. This loco may or may not operate on the Devon line. It is hoped that both locos will be 'sold on' to another preservation group, especially the Class 37/9. No. 37905 is seen being removed from the Dartmoor Railway by road on 14 November 2007. Stacey Thew

'Western' Class 52 No. D1015 returned to the South Devon Sea Wall on 22 November 2007 when it was hauled from Westbury to Tavistock Junction by Colas Class 47 No. 47727 in a train which also transferred west track machine No. DR73806. The most unusual train is seen crossing Cockwood Harbour after dusk, while an Arriva Class 221 approaches on the up line with a Cross Country service.
